I/C Friendly Matches : Linda Wood
Email: TBC
Friendly Matches are a good way to experience pairs matchplay. The format, which is usually chosen by the Home Club, is mostly 4BBB, with a few Greensomes matches. We always play friendlies in twos so, if you are new to this you will be out with someone experienced in matches, who will help you with tactics and match etiquette. This is a very relaxed way to get used to playing in inter club matches. Away matches are an excellent way to play other courses for the cost of refreshments, before or after the match;(a lot cheaper than a green fee!) By the nature of the matches, they are very friendly games of golf and you get to meet new golfers, who may just become firm friends!

Please to say Chichester Ladies won against Littlehampton who were very tough opposition. They had some very low handicaps and we needed our shots to be able to put up a good show.
We were lucky with the weather and Littlehampton complemented us on the condition of the course.
Thursday 12th June v Furzley Away

Rain stopped play after 6 holes, we all retired to the clubhouse where we had a nice tea and a chat.
Wednesday 16th July v Cams Hall Home Drew 2-2

Perfect weather although not as much breeze as we would have liked. We had a couple of newbies playing and they enjoyed the experience. It was an honourable draw overall.
