New Local Rule for Rain Damage to Bunkers
Nov 30
The following Local Rule is in use from Saturday Nov 30th
Areas in bunkers where sand has been removed by the movement of water, resulting in deep furrows through the sand are Ground Under Repair.
Please note that where this condition exists, the bunker itself remains in play but free relief from the affected area may be taken by dropping a ball in the bunker within 1 club length of it, no nearer the hole.
Information is available at the clubhouse and this Local Rule will appear on the scorecard when the next batch of scorecards are printed.
It is always best to agree with your playing partners that your ball is affected by such an area before taking relief.

Committee Decision 7/8/24
The Committee has decided that as well as being played off 100% Course Hcp ( N.Qualifying Competition as not all clubs allowed to be used)) for this year the Competition will be trialled using 100% Course Hcp plus 2 shots.
GUR
(Ground Under Repair)
Posted 7/4/24
It is worth reading the definition of GUR in Rules of Golf under definitions as it is very extensive.
Please note you should only enter areas of GUR to retrieve your golf ball
You should not walk through an area of GUR and not with your trolley!!
Relief from GUR is "Free Relief" at the nearest point, no nearer the hole.
Depending where your ball is sitting in the GUR your nearest point of relief maybe to the side of the GUR.
It is always best to check with your playing partner that they agree with the point at which you are taking free relief is the nearest point of relief and not nearer the hole.
Away Day
The Away Day Competition is not run by the Ladies' Committee, so is therefore not a qualifying competition. It is like a society competition, so can be run using 100% of Course Handicap as the "Society" is not affiliated to England Golf, as is the Ladies' Section.
Pace of Play
Did you know the recommended pace of play for a four ball is:

Holes 12-18 No more than 1 hour 45 minutes
