The Div 3 team travelled to Cottesmore for their last away match of the group. A bright, sunny day but with a chilly wind on the high ground made team members query as to why Terry was in shorts!!

Winter rules were in place! Not because of wet condition but because on exceptionally dry ‘bone hard’ conditions. Don’t even attempt a chip was the order of the day – get the putter out.

Unfortunately, the majority of the team fell foul of local knowledge and the very trying conditions BUT the star of the day was Barbara who, still smarting from her loss at Goodwood, won her match on the 16th. Bizarrely, Barbara and her partner did halve one hole.

Sadly, I have to report a loss for Chichester. The final score 4-1 to Cottesmore,

The Div 3 team of Lynn, Barbara, Val, Sally and Terry played away at Goodwood Downs course on Wednesday 2 nd April. The sun shone and the skies were blue butoh that wind. Balls travelled sidewards and peaks blew away. Even Sally’s trolley had a mind of its own and wandered off into the greenside bunker on the 16 th !!

We had to say a very big ‘aaahhh’ to Barbara. Having lead all the match her opponent clawed her way back and won on the 18 th . Barb had never played Goodwood so very well done. On a brighter note Lynn managed to get the better ofher partner again on the 18th . Unfortunately, this was our only win with the final score 4-1 to Goodwood.

The Div 3 team played their second home match on Friday 13th June of all days. A very warm and sunny day but, as the team will wouch, lots of storm flies. Terry saw the team off wishing them luck.

The team faced strong opposition as Goodwood have won all their home matches well done to Lynn, Barbara ans Sally who won their matches to give us a 3 and 2 win.
