Use Of Buggies

To Clarify

1) the Use of Buggies and Individual Buggies in Competitions organised by the Ladies Section.

For all Competitions (including Knockouts, Winter & Summer Leagues & Fun Competitions) organised by the Ladies Committee, ladies are expected to walk the course.

Any lady wishing to use a buggy for medical reasons must contact the Competition Sub- Committee in sufficient time to seek approval for the use of a buggy. This is in line with England Golf Use of Buggy Policy, however the Competition Sub- Committee does not usually require medical documentation to back up such a request.

In the first instance such a request should be made to the Competition Secretary. The Competition Sub- Committee members are The Lady Captain, The Lady Vice-Captain, The Competition Secretary & The Handicap Secretary.

Please note that other ladies may not ride in the buggy with you unless they also have permission from the Competition Sub Committee (except in the case of the Hill Barn Goblet). Anyone doing so will be subject to the applicable  penalty under the Rules of Golf.

Please note the Club may decide that on the Day of a Competition buggies may not be used due to Health & Safety Considerations. The use of buggies is subject to availability.

Hill Barn Goblet. Previous Committee Decision - any lady wishing to enter the Hill Barn Goblet may use a buggy without a medical reason to do so and without seeking approval from the Competition Sub Committee. This decision was made to encourage more ladies to play in the Hill Barn Goblet.

2) The Use of Caddies or Trolley pullers in competitions organised by the Ladies Section is not allowed.
